Hedgehogs – online tuition

Tuition contents:

Permanent access to 3 videos:  each vary from 18-30 mins long

I am really keen to engage and help encourage you with your watercolours and progress with painting.  Please email me with any questions and I’d love to see your finished painting.

Link and password emailed after payment received.

What you will learn:

Video 1 is a hedgehog painted using a limited palette and a technique to help paint the spikes.  Video 2 is a more colourful and loose way of painting a hedgehog and video three is a little practice for eyes and nose.

Palette

These are the colours I have used (mainly Daler Rowney).  Buff Titanium is a Daniel Smith pigment and is really useful in this tuition.  If you don’t have this, a tiny hint of Burnt Umber and Raw Sienna mixed into Titanium White might give a similar effect.  Don’t be afraid to experiment with the paints you have.

(Hedgehog 1 and eyes/nose practice)

Ultramarine Blue
Burnt Sienna
Buff Titanium (Daniel Smith)
Raw Sienna
Permanent Magenta
Burnt Umber
Titanium White
Permanent Mauve

For the second hedgehog, I have added a few extra colours into the mix for fun!
